2015 was a huge year for Iconic Home Loans. Two major successes were winning Best Office Non–Franchise in the 2015 Australian Broking Awards and successfully securing a new referral partnership with one of WA’s major building companies.
The year also bought a lot of changes for the company. The rapid expansion of our network has meant that we have had to develop our processes and service in line with the digital revolution. We have invested heavily in the company’s marketing and communications, and have implemented more and more digital into our day to day activities. This has included the development of digital documents and applications, along with improvements to the ongoing service offered to our clients after their finance has settled.
Looking forward, throughout 2016 iconic will continue to invest in marketing and communications, as well as new technology and software, to continuously improve and simplify our back and front end processes.
The development of new referral partner relationships, along with our existing referral partner network, affords iconic an abundance of fresh leads coming in. This coupled with the company’s large existing database of clients and leads means that we have a large volume of clients to service each month. In line with this business growth, we are currently looking to recruit quality finance brokers to join our dynamic team.

So what does iconic home loans look for in a finance broker?
James Pibworth, iconic’s managing director, looks for five main qualities when recruiting brokers to join his team:

Iconic’s recruitment process is unique, and we pride ourselves on our ability to take on new to industry brokers and successfully mentor them to become some of the best in the industry. Iconic like to take on new brokers with a minimum of 6 months’ experience. The idea behind this recruitment strategy is that iconic’s senior brokers are available to help mentor and guide new brokers throughout the first few tough years of their career. Iconic is a young, energetic, and forward thinking company, and it is important that our staff have a personality and work ethic be in line with this.
In the past iconic have taken on completely new to industry brokers where they have the qualities we look for when recruiting. Iconic helped a number of our current and past brokers enter the industry, and a number of these new brokers have gone on to be some of our highest performing.
Iconic also take on more experienced brokers who have been in the industry for several years. We find that bringing on a mix of experienced and new to industry brokers to our team allows us to be as innovative and diverse as possible.
